<p> I recently bought a house through their mortage originator services. Our jubilant experience of the new home was left to bitter taste by the services of betterlife. We took a life and building's cover through them. I had already have taken these products with the bank which meant i am double insured. I called betterlife and amended the initial installment date so that i get enough time to cancel the insurances i took with the bank.</p> <p>After my house was registered this hyena company changed the dates of installments without my permission and deducted money from my bank without contacting me. they went as far as backdating the amount to the date of registration.</p> <p>learning this experience i called them to cancel the insurances i took with them. they promised someone will get back to me, but only when the installments when off for the following month someone from their retention's department contacted me.</p> <p>he made promises that sounded convincing. i then decided to give them a lifeline. he couldn't keep up to his promises than i initiated a cancellation process again. for a non-secured homeloan they require me to get a cession document from the bank. i called the bank, only to their dismay that these guys require this document since a life insurance was not a prerequisite for my homeloan. with regards to the buildings cover i am still awaiting feedback and it doesn't seem that i am getting it anytime soon because they choose not to reply on some of my emails. </p>
