DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH COMPANY!

Anybody going through the home loan process, please be alert when you receive a call from Betterlife offering you mortgage protection. Do not even entertain this call as they will debit your account whether or not you accept a policy with them and most people will not even notice a small amount of R240 going off every month. I did after six months and have queried it with them on numerous occasions only to be told they will get back to me but they never do. I have cancelled the policy yet they still debited my account this month. After calling for a refund, they said they would send me the recording of me accepting this policy however 2 weeks have past and yet still no word from them. Makes me wonder if they even have such a recording. I am now going to cancel the debit to them directly at the bank and going to seek legal advice on how to get the premiums refunded back to me. My advice to anybody is make sure you have sufficient life cover in place before applying for a bond and also as soon as Betterlife contacts you, do not even listen. It will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.
