Dishonest and Misleading

My husband received a call from BetterLife stating that Standard Bank (bank that gave us the bond) appointed them to provide us with insurance on a house we are buying. He supp**** them with the necessary information as he was under the impression that they were just doing as the bank requested. A few minutes later my husband also received a call from Standard Bank to go through the insurance quote they provided us when they gave us the quote for the bond. My husband was then informed that Standard Bank never instructed BetterLife to contact us as they stated.

We sent BetterLife an email saying that we will not be making use of the insurance they offer and then 3 days later we receive a email from BetterLife telling Standard Bank to cancel our insurance with them as we will be taking the insurance from BetterLife.

So after I sent an email cancelling any policy they offered they still have the audacity to tell the bank to cancel our insurance. In the first place they **** to us in order to obtain our information and in the second place they were more expensive than the bank.

Absolutely pathetic! Can't believe that people will lie to such an extend to get the sales they want.
