Betterbond will debit your account without the account holder’s permission !!!

Please South Africans be warned regarding a Betterbond policy! They will deduct your premiums whether your permission has been granted or not! In 2013, l bought a house, FNB required that l take out a policy to cede to FNB in the event of my death. The bond has since been paid up, despite my multiple requests that Betterbond stops the debit orders, over a year into my first request for a cancellation, Betterbond still finds their way into my bank account! I am disgusted by the manner in which they have handled my account! Could someone please explain to me why it’s such a mission to cancel a policy? Please stay away from Betterbond!! T
