Better ****
I bought my house in 2023 and I insured it with bettersure. In 2024 my geyser burst I claimed and they fixed it with an access of R3000 and a premium of R3something then in 2025 my second gyser burst n they fixed it great, my premium was R600 and the access was R500 then in August 2026 they debited R1206 and again in September so I called and enquired and they say my premium increased double becouse I previously made claims. I'm heart broken I really loved my insurance but charging me soo much because I made a claim means I'm only allowed to pay and not make a claim or else next time they will debit my whole salary
Hello Nondumiso
We’re really sorry to read how upsetting this has been for you. We can understand why seeing such a significant change in your premium would come as a shock, especially when you’ve been happy with your cover and the service you received when you previously needed to claim. It’s also understandable that this has left you feeling as though making a claim has worked against you. When a premium changes, you should have a clear understanding of why it has changed and what has been taken into account.
Please allow our team some time to investigate, and we will review your policy history and the premium adjustment so that we can better understand what has happened and make sure the reasons are clearly explained to you.
Thank you for taking the time to share how this has made you feel. We’re genuinely sorry that your experience has left you feeling this disappointed. Your concerns matter deeply to us, and we hope we can restore your trust.
Warm regards,
BetterSure
