Unhappy Customer

i am so disappointed in this scheme and wish i had changed last year, i need a procedure to be done that has had me bedridden for over a week now. A procedure that i need and require for my health. An authorization was sent by my doctor for a 1.5 day procedure which was approved with a co-payment. why do we pay so much money on medical aid if its not serving its purpose, co-payment for what...it makes zero sense that you will pay for the procedure if its done while im admitted but i must pay a co-payment because i wont be staying longer at the hospital? what nonsense is this??? do you not care about your customers ??? i expect a call from a higher up manager with news that i WILL NOT BE PAYING A CO-PAYMENT!!! Dear Mapaseka Ngakane

Thank you for reaching out to Bestmed.  We understand your concerns; however, please note that, as per the scheme rules, the co-payment app**** is a procedure-specific co-payment for the requested hysteroscopy.

All Beat options for the year 2025 include procedure-specific co-payments, which apply to the following procedures:
  • Arthroscopies
  • Back and neck surgery
  • Laparoscopic procedures
  • Colonoscopies and gastroscopies
  • Cystoscopies
  • Hysteroscopies
  • Sigmoidoscopies
  • Extraction of wisdom teeth
  • Functional nasal sinus procedures

Best Regards
