Request Impossible!
I have been a member of the medical scheme for over 6 years without ever missing a premium.I recently requested a procedure to be done only to be told that they will only authorize this under local anesthetic. I have consulted by urologist and 3 others who all refuse to perform it under local and will only do it under general. They seemed suprised by this request from the medical aid. I think its quite ridiculous that you would authorise this in a manner no doctor would be willing to perform under! Rest assured i will be sourcing new medical aid as i am sure another medical aid would value by business.
