Poor Service
My daughter had her baby at Olivedale Clinic on 26 September. The staff at the maternity ward were very impatient and called in a lactation consultant. This lady was then paid after her consultation. According to the paperwork I have, one lactation consultation is covered for out of benefits. I have now been advised that as this was in hospital, it will not be covered. So why is it not covered as part of the hospital stay? I await your reply.

Kindly be advised that your personal information email address is not registered on your daughter's membership profile, Bestmed complies with POPI Act hence we cannot assist you in this case.
A written consent must be supp**** by your daughter so that we can assist you with the matter. However, an email has been sent to the member regarding the rejection of the account.

08 Nov 2022, 11:57Thank you Katlego. Funny I am good enough to pay her premium every month but I can't query. She has not received any email from Bestmed. I would also like to put on record, that no where in the Bestmed 'welcome pack' does it mention anything about the lactation consultant cover being in or out of hospital. I am tired of chasing this. Please expedite the email to Megan.
