Not good for pensioners.

Don't join this medical aid if your planning on getting old. Their increases are unsustainable for a pensioner. After 40 years I Had to drop a level as I could no longer afford the monthly level. No help from the people at Bestmed. Basicly told read online. Made what I thought was a good decision. Seems it wasn't Next thing I have run out of savings, they cancelled my colon tablets as they are not chronic so now I live in pain or go for an operation. Rushed my wife to the doctor as her leg was turning blue. Doctor said blod clot. Rushed to have a scan. Rushed back to doctor. Offered drip or hospital. Did the drip and warfarin. All ok now. Now the scan is not being paid for as savings had run out. We thought we were doing a good thing for the medical and not wasting their money as it could be treated outpatient. So I tell pensioners now. Got a cold go to hospital. Got urti. Go to hospital. Need glasses go to hospital
