Membership waiting period even though I come from a medical aid and waited for a manager for more than 30 minutes and the call cut. No follow up terrible services

<p>I was on bankmed with my daughter and went under my husband's medical aid best med. According to my understanding when I terminate an active medical scheme going to another I need to e activated immediately and there shouldn't be a waiting period. However best med states that they CAN....... my daughter is ill, should I wait even though payments are deducted?????? I have never ever heard of such from any medical aid. I called the membership dept was on hold for a manager called Rosie for over 15minutes. Her call cut while speaking to her. She didn't call back, tried calling again was on hold for over 30 minutes and there was no response. I need urgent assistance as my baby is ill </p>
