Membership suspended unfairly!!!!

On 17 February 2020 I received a sms from bestmed saying that my membership has been suspended due to premiums being outstanding for the month of January and February 2020 to the value of R7808.

My previous employer pays 50% of my premiums which they have done. and I need to pay 50%. I am on pension so I immediately went to my pension fund to get a salary advice to see if there were any medical aid premiums deducted from my salary for January and February 2020.

There was no deductions made for January and February 2020 as should have been the case. When I spoke to my pension fund they said they normally get a debit order request from Bestmed for my 50% of my monthly premiums to be deducted

According to my pension fund they did not deduct the outstanding premiums for January and February 2020 because Bestmed has not requested the money from my pension fund.

This was not my mistake so why must I suffer? What must I do if I need a medical aid urgently? What must i do now to get my membership reinstated?

I do not have the money you require at the moment. Can you assist in any way?
