laying in hospital waiting for approval

I am currently in hospital since Monday. The Dr Booked me in due to an emergency hernia operation which was scheduled for Wednesday night at 21h00 due to hospital beeing so full. Best Med put the whole thing to stop due to my BMI as I am overweight . So they said the Anaesthetic Dr need to give a letter to medical aid to say that he is happy with doing the operation. I am laying here in pain due to the hernia , and on pain medication which is not helping for the pain. It almost looks to me as if a pasient needs to almost be on deaths door step before things happen. What I Don't understand everything has approved on Tuesday and Wensday morning I got a email it was put on hold. Would like to know how long this is going to take as I stay far from here 400km round trip. I will never recommend bestmed to anyone after this and am also planning on leaving bestmed due to these issues.
