Is Bestmed bothered at all if there is a chance of ***** being committed?

We have terminated our membership in February 2018. This weekend my husband receives a mail from Bestmed regarding a claim issued by doctor of a chiropractor practise earlier this month. I sent Bestmed a mail to find out what is going on as we no are no longer a member of this scheme AND that my husband had not been to a chiropracotor nor any other doctor in moths as a matter of fact. The response I keet getting is that the claim was rejected due to membership termination, which is what I would have expected and glad that they did reject the claim. But my mine concern is that a claim was made in the 1st place. They keep saying that I must take it up with the doctor to resolve the issue, but I keep saying we don't even know who this doctor is as none of us had been to this doctor. I've tried to google this doctor and the only chiropractor I could find with only part of the initials and same surname is based in East London and we live in Gauteng? So I keep telling them that this is a ********** claim and that their ***** division should have a look into this. What do I get back, a mail indicating that the claim has been rejected due to membership cancellation and I need to contact the doctor and provide the correct details. Did they even bother to read my mail properly? Someone might be commiting ***** and they are letting them get away cause "the claim was rejected due to membership termination" Did they even bother to look if the practice number that was provided is legit or just ignore it cause the membership is terminated?
