Inadequate Claim Reimbur*****ts

Good day<br> <br> I have some questions and concerns around BestMed's claim payments. My wife is pregnant, and every time we visit our gynae, he charges R750 for a consultation, which is below the average of around R1000 charged by most. The doctor takes cash up front, and we claim from BestMed, who then pays us a mere R337.80. I fail to believe there's a gynaecologist who charges R337.80 for a consultation. I've tried without success getting an explanation from BestMed (enquiry numbers *** and ***).<br> <br> My wife will soon be hospitalised, as she will be giving birth. Given BestMed's track record, I am really afraid that BestMed will once again pay only a third or half of the costs. In addition to hospital costs, there'll be gynae charges, anaesthetist, paediatrician, etc. I am concerned that BestMed will only pay a small fraction of those costs, and I'd have to get a bank loan to pay for the rest. Please help with an explanation. Thanks.<br>
