HORRIBLE SERVICE

My psychologist requested ten pmb sessions with BestMed, I was then told to get a diagnosis from a psychiatrist, which I did, and then the psychiatrist submitted an application for PMB again on my behalf.

BestMed then decided to only pay for the psychiatrist, and instead took the psychologist sessions off my medical savings. At no point did they decide to inform me of this, and now I am sitting owing cash for these sessions, as they drained my savings.

They even used one of the approved psychiatrist sessions to pay for my psychologist, proving that they knew the pmb was for both therapy & psychiatry, and they had records of this psychologist requesting pmb approval for 10 sessions.

I pay BestMed 30k a year and they try and ***** me over in the midst of me actually needing them to pay for mental health services, which they are by law required to pay for as part of pmb.

If this is not rectified, I will be cancelling with BestMed and moving on to a medical scheme which doesn't actively **** over its members.
