FALSE ADVERTISING

Quite upset with the scheme.

I decided to join Bestmed end of 2022, the quote and contract I received from the scheme was for the 2023 monthly contributions,as I am aware that schemes have an increase yearly, I made sure of the monthly contribution amount before I signed on. I then signed and joined the scheme. Noticed on Tuesday that the contributions amount has gone up and I was never informed, not the amount I signed for too. I have sent an email, but no response. I phoned Bestmed today and was advised that the contributions amount I signed for was never approved by the council and that the council decided late in December to keep the option as an income based option and increased the monthly contributions amount. How can Bestmed advertise, quote and have people sign for an amount that was not approved by the council? They need to keep in mind that we budget for these contribution amounts.
