Disgusted

I have been a member for a good couple of years. I recently started suffering from terrible pain in my knee and ankle. my GP and Orthopedic surgeon diagnosed osteoarthritis for which i now need treatment. To prevent and treat this, Joint Infiltration was requested by the surgeon for the knee and ankle. This comes at a cost of about R10,000 for the in joint injections. Bestmed declined this but would probably pay a R150,000 if my knee needed replacement in hospital???? Where is the logic??? Result is that i will suffer the pain which sometimes causes me not able to walk because this relatively cheap alternative to treat my condition.must come from my savings part of the medical plan . Totally rediculous and insane. If I was younger i would get another plan because i have no faith in Bestmed being there for me when i need them. Pathetic *******. I have now had to cancel the treatment to help me because of the fact that i am not covered for this, apparently
