Condition approved but medication approved with a later day!!!!!

I was approved for Hypertension as per an auth letter received from Bestmed & it was backdated to April 2023.

However the medication, Reaptan, is a only approved from the 15/05/2023. How does this even make sense? I was diagnosed on the 09/05/2023 so surely the medication should be backdated accordingly.

When I called their client services department I spoke to a person who clearly was not interested in assisting me despite explaining to her that it was an oversight by the doctor when he didn't put the ICD10 code on the script. What else can Reaptan be used for other than Hypertension? All she said to me is that IT WON'T BE BACKDATED!

My request is simple: please backdate the approval date for Reaptan so that my first script can pay from the chronic benefit accordingly.
