Claims paid with Cash not getting refunded
BestMed has to be one of the biggest ****ming medical aid. My mom was in hospital between the 30th of July 2022 and 03rd of August 2023.
The authorisation was received around the 13th of August! We have already paid for things with our own money and now claims keep changing daily from approved to declined to approved then declined. All of this is simply to avoid refunding the member her money. This is the most useless and trashy medical scheme I’ve ever seen. Wouldn’t recommend or advise anyone to use it.

Kindly be informed that the delay in hospital authorisation was due to additional information requested by our clinical team for review and was received later.
We have recently processed a radiology account amounting to R4650.00. An amount of R3776.70 has been disbursed to the member in our payment run today.
Should any remaining claims require a refund, kindly forward them to *** for review.
Please note that claims are covered at 100% of the scheme rate.
