CERTIFICATE STATING NO WAITING PERIODS SENT, FOLLOWED THE NEXT WEEK BY WAITING PERIODS IMPOSED FOR MY PARENTS
LAST WEEK I WAS ACCEPTED ON BESTMED WITH MY PARENTS AS MY DEPENDANTS, WITH A CERTIFICATE CLEARLY STATING THAT NO WAITING PERIODS ARE APP****.
TODAY I GET A NOTIFICATION, STATING THAT THERE IS A 3 MONTH WATING PERIOD. DO NOTE THAT I HAVE NOT SELECTED CHEAP COVER, BUT THAT COVER IS PARAMOUNT!
WHEN ONE IS RETRENCHED, NO WAITING PERIODS MAY BE IMPOSED. MY PARENTS WERE DEPENDANTS ON MY MEDICAL AID (MOMENTUM ESSENTIALLY THROUGH THE COMPANY I WORKED FOR).
HOW CONVENIENT - WITH SO FEW DAYS TO NOW SHIFT AND RESUBMIT, I GET THIS NOTIFICATION WHEN THE ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE CLEARLY STATES NO WAITING PERIOD. MY CONDITION OF SELECTING A MEDICAL AID RELATES SPECIFICALLY TO NO WAITING PERIOD - WHERE IS THE INTEGRITY?
IT IS A DISGRACE

It is anecdotal at best to be receiving a response on a Friday afternoon given when this was logged.
The vagueness in your response leaves much to be desired. I am irate all over again - is this what I have to look forward to???
Trust is something one needs to earn particularly given the first certificate issues had no waiting followed by another certificate with a waiting period.
Now I have a 3rd certificate with no waiting (back to where I started and what was expected and noted by my previous medical aid.
So you HOPE I am sorted, and that this is useful feedback - seriously? Let be clarify ABSOLUTELY NOT acceptable.
The amount of stress in not only selecting a medical aid, choosing the right plan by using a broker is all a daunting task.
Needless to say it did absolutely nothing for my 'well being' and frankly I find the response not only tardy but lacking sincerity.
As with short term insurance and investment annual reviews, medical will now be on the list as well.
