Bestmed...worst when you need it most

We ha've been with Bestmed for 11 months now. I have a condition where my jaw dislocates completely. The doctor has said that I will need surgery to fix this problem, if I don't have it taken care of it can lead to arthrocentesis of the jaw. I already have difficulty and discomfort when speaking and eating. So when we go for authorisation they say that it is a dental problem and in hospital dental surgery is not covered by our plan. Surely they can look at the extent of the problem and see that it is necessary. When calling the call centre and requesting a medical advisors contact details (on request of the doctor) they just snubbed me and said they don't give that information at all. I'm at my wits end as we cannot afford to upgrade which means I have to live with this problem and have bigger problems in future. Bestmed decides how when and where they can spend our hard earned money, never mind the health issues that you have
