Bestmed / Worstmed

I have been with Bestmed since December 2022. I was admitted to hospital in January and February 2024 where 2 Neuro Surgeons requested MRI scans for my neck and back and both times, Bestmed declined the approval. However, in the benefits brochure it is stipulated "MRI & SCANS - UNLIMITED BENEFITS IN HOSPITAL". Nowhere is it stipulated that Back and Neck MRI will only be approved from the MSA. In February I was admitted after having severe migraines for 6 days, the neurosurgeon requested a back and neck MRI, because I had a previous neck surgery and I am presenting with symptoms indicating there is nerve compression, yet Bestmed refuses to approve the MRI scanning, while I was in hospital. This is the second time they decline to approve the request. Whenever the medical staff hears that you are a member of Bestmed, their response is "Good luck with Worstmed".
