Bestmed wanting more money.... of couse
So, I cancel my Bestmed Medical Scheme early November, only TODAY I get a notification email from them stating I have to pay R500 that is an "outstanding" amount. They never previously contacted me about the amount and it now comes out of nowhere?
How does this work? Is this a new way they just ****** money from you, I paid R3000 per month for my medical scheme, yet they couldn't even cover my medicine or doctors appointment about 2 months back... Make this make sense

Kindly be informed that your last day with the Scheme was 30 November 2025. After the membership ends, we reconcile the account to confirm any outstanding amounts. If there is an amount owed to the Scheme, the member is notified following this reconciliation process.
Please also note that Beat 2 is a hospital plan with limited savings. Once the available funds are exhausted, the member becomes liable for the full costs of medicine and consultations received out of hospital.
We hope this clarifies the process.

My "savings plan" has no outstanding amounts, so unsure where I owe any more for this. Unless my R3000 contributiuon every months has been going NOWERE to my savings account as it has been anyway since you couldnt cover any medicine I needed about 2 months ago.
So too get this straight... My savings account has NO negative balance since I couldnt even get medicine, but I owe you R500, I feel this is a huge ploy for you too make people wanting to pay EXTRA just to cancel. Imagine paying R3000 per month for almost nothing to be covered and ALSO OOO do not get me wrong on this.... You *****s decided that my surgery wasnt going to be covered cause "MY DOCTOR WAS WRONG" who is a specialist by the way,.. so I have to pay almost R12000 to them cause YOU decided that my Doctors handling of a broken wrist is WRONG and when asked about it.. there was simply said "He should have seen another doctor".... So don't get me started with your bullsht about owing any amount of money when you couldnt pay for ANYTHING in the past ALMOST A YEAR now...
