Bestmed want your money but don't care if you live or die.
Utter garbage, avoid like the plague. They will take your money. And when you need to be admitted due to a life-threatening illness they avoid helping you at all cost. They're smug, rude, and everything is a uphill battle. Honestly believe they try to delay to let you die so they dont have to pay.

Our Managed Healthcare Department has responded as follows to my query:
You initially phoned the Scheme on 28 May 2021 already requesting pre-authorisation in advance for a medical admission for Monday, 31 May 2021 for "tests". The Scheme advised that we do not fund admissions for "tests" only and therefore require clinical information and a treatment plan for review before we could grant authorisation. The hospital then called confirming that the admission as to be for an MRI scan of the brain. No additional clinical information or treatment plan was provided - only the request for tests.
As per our guidelines, the tests and MRI could be performed on an out-patient basis.
You are still most welcome to provide the Scheme with the required clinical information and treatment plan should you wish to proceed with the hospitalisation.
