BESTMED MEMBER *** PROF GM DEKKER

My husband has to go for Avastin injections in his eyes on Friday 8 May 2020 in the rooms. I forwarded an e-mail on 07 April 2020 requesting Authorisation. This morning we phoned for the Authorisation, Bestmed denied that we requested by e-mail, although I have the automated Receipt number EAD878C5EB80C from Bestmed. We phoned Bestmed 3 times, spoke to 6 people with no success.

So do we now have to leave the treatment and let my husbands sight deteriorate ? Is it going to be possible to go for his treatment on the 8 May 2020 ,as I do not get any Authorisation number out of Bestmed.

His previous Authorisation numbers could not be honoured due to Covid-19 Lockdown.

I do hope that we can clear this matter.
