Bestmed Medical Scheme

In my dealings with medical aids over a number of years, I have come to the conclusion that they are corporate bullies. They have no empathy for the member, it's all driven by the bottom line. I would, through my experience, think that it applies to most corporates, but this industry is different, whereby they are dealing with people who need them when they are in a vulnerable place, and they thrive on this. Little do they realise, that they would not be employed if it were not for their members.

Sadly, having just become a member of this medical aid, all of above comments apply.

Their level of service leaves a lot to be desired, and the " take it or leave it " approach does not sit well with me.

The way that they have dealt with my wife and myself, has caused much unnecessary stress for us, which we do not need at our stages of life.

I have been in contact with the Council of Medical Schemes, and have requested a meeting with them, to discuss this unacceptable situation.
