Bestmed is happy to let me DIE
Yet again, I have to fight with Bestmed for a PET scan to see where the cancer has progressed to. In my previous review on the 4th Oct 2019 you can read the entire story of my dilemma. My Oncologist has requested a PET scan as my marker has gone sky high and the pain is unbearable, I've now found multiple lumps in both my breasts and desperately need this PET scan, my cancer is only picked up by PET scan as Bestmed well knows if they would do their job and read my case file, my type of cancer is also 60% aggressive. You Bestmed are denying me the right to treatment and LIFE. Stage 4 breast cancer with mets to the bones is no joke and the pain is unbearable. I'm now in a wheelchair full time. My Oncologist cant treat what she cant see. What if the cancer has spread further into my other organs or both breasts? I was hospitalized in May and after a scan it was found that the cancer had escalated in my lumbar spine. Is this not enough for you Bestmed to grant me a PET scan and therefore a right to life. Instead when my Oncologist requested a PET scan you come back with the same jargon about PMB's, however you approved PET scan previously on the same scheme that I'm on. Bestmed, you are playing God and denying me the right to life, how dare you? My death will be on you. Marlene Hanekom please pick up my case and request from Oncologist and help me. Remember Bestmed, you will be the reason that I die.

*** and went on further to say in a previous email, below: However, as from 1 January 2020 there is a proposal that a PET scan be added to the benefits of Pace1. In light of this, I am going to request an ex gratia benefit for the proposed PET scan for Mrs Greening from Management. This was done and the PET scan was approved. It found that the cancer had spread to further points in my bones.
My blood cancer marker was 145 in May and after a scan found that the lower lumbar cancer had progressed further. I've now picked up 5 lumps each in each breast, which are swollen and I cant lift either arm up high. I'm in excruciating pain through out my body and have developed daily headaches.
My emotional and psychological wellbeing is suffering as I sit day in and night out stressing about where and what the cancer is doing.
This blatant disregard for treatment and human life from Bestmed is beyond me. Stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis to the bone is no joke, I cant walk far, or stand for 5 minutes without excruciating pain. I'm on Morphine syrup, morphine patches, Palexia etc but I am still in excruciating pain.
In the LOM my Oncologist has made it clear that she needs this PET scan to be able to treat me and (give me the best chance) my cancer is 60% aggressive. I went from Stage 1 breast cancer to Stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis to the bones within 5 months. That's a fast growing cancer. The only way my Dr has been able to treat me is through the PET scan results. We dont know if it has spread to organs.
BESTMED yes you send it to your medical board but none of your Drs are intimate with my case, only my Oncologist is intimate with my case.
PLEASE DONT DENY MY RIGHT TO CORRECT TREATMENT AND A CHANCE TO LIFE.
By denying my Oncologists LOM'S you BESTMED are saying you dont care. Its NOT your family member, sister; mother; aunt; grandmother so why should you care.
EVERY SINGLE DR ON THE BESTMED MEDICAL BOARD HAS MY DEATH ON THEIR HANDS.

My Oncologist has twice sent an LOM for a PET ct and said in the LOM QUOTE: MRI, X-Ray nor Sonar will show or tell me if there is any disease in lungs, liver and so on, will only show bone UNQUOTE.
