Bestmed Hospital Plan but you still Stuck with "In-Hospital" Bills
I am Self employed and have a Hospital Plan with Bestmed. The reason for having this plan is for "Peace of mind" in the event the myself or any of my dependants require hospitalisation for whatever reason. My Daughter had to have an Emergency procedure done and after getting Authorisation etc. I am still subject to Pay for in Hospital Bills, Bestmed declined paying this. What does it help paying monthly for this coverage when they can just decide NOT to pay some bills and leave you to be Liable?????

19 Apr 2024, 13:36So, this story continues.......
Bestmed and Flora Hospital who was on the "Network" at the time in question.
Bestmed does not pay a chunk of the bill as they say that 1 of their Network service providers is overcharging on these items. Mind you, my thoughts are: Im going to a Hospital that is part of the Network of my Medical aid. Therefore I have "peace of mind". Now I get responses saying that I must pay or be handed over. If I pay this, I cannot afford to pay Medical aid premiums. I am Self employed!!!
I feel as though I am being bul**** by the very entity that I pay monthly for this so called" Peace of mind".
