Bestmed
Thinking of changing medical aid but when you need to provide Bestmed with 29 years medical history even though I've been with my current medical aid for 14 years is ludicrous.

Please note that the Medical Scheme Act mandates that medical schemes impose a late-joiner penalty when an individual joins a medical scheme for the first time at age 35 or older and when a member has a lapse in coverage for more than three months and then wishes to rejoin a medical scheme.
To determine the applicability of a late-joiner penalty fee, we require confirmation of all previous coverage from the individual's former medical schemes.

To make an informed and precise decision, getting confirmation of coverage details from previous medical schemes is essential.
