Bestmed doesn't paqy hospital bill
My who just turned three was hospitalised on 22 March 2016. He is a Bestmed member. Both the referring doctor who hospitalised (a Bestmed network doctor) my son as well as the specialist who treated my son wrote clinical reports to Bestmed. The latest is that Bestmed is asking for a clinical report from the doctor treating him at birth 3 years ago. Understandably it puts the doctor in a difficult situation for writing reports on what happened 3 years ago. it is becoming impossible to meet all the Bestmed requirements. The sick child was hospitalised by a doctor and then treated by a specialist in hospital . Do Bestmed feel the doctor and specialist were wrong hospitalising and treating my child? Now I sit with an R11 000 hospital bill and I am keeping my monthly medical aid contributions up to date.
