BestMed doesn't care!

Myself and my girlfriend joined Bestmed. I'm 22 and she is 23. Our membership was active on the 1 June 2015 and we thought everything should be okay from here knowing that we are covered. <br> About 3 weeks ago. My girlfriend found out she had a cyst on her ovary and required emergency surgery. I thought, okay no problem. The medical aid should cover us for this because of their 100% hospital benefits. We were surprised to find that Bestmed pended the authorization of the surgery. I immediately jumped on my phone. And it turns out that they put her on a 12 probation without telling us. I spent the next 48 hrs running around trying to get letters from all her doctors and documentation for them to prove that there was no abdominal pain over the past 12 months. She had a very light shoulder injury in Dec 2014, so light that we even forgot about it so we didn't put it in the application. And because of that they declined the authorization. We were forced to go to Thembisa where she was told there is nothing wrong with her. And basically kicked her out.
