Bestmed and allergy-help doesn't mix!!

Bestmed medical and allergy... it is a NO FROM THEM!!

We have been with Bestmed for years, through both of my pregnancy, birth and as my kids grow up.... but now that we need them the most, they just ask " but why did you take your kid to the doctor in the first place?" Uuuhhh to get help?!?!?

My son is 3 and a half years old, at the age of 2 we noticed that he eats less and drinking more milk, so we when to his pediatrician. I told the doctor that I have noticed that he is allergic to eggs, so the doctor said "let's do bloodtests to confirm but then let's test for 5 foods" with a shock the results came back. Allergic to: Egg Wheat Fish Peanut Soy

He said with all of these allergies it will be best to go to dietitian to find out what my son can eat. We went... they said we must go to and pediatrician dietitian... so we made an appointment.... and they said he is allergic to alot we must figure out on our own what he can and can not eat...

It is more than a year now, and the only stuff my son can eat without using allergex is Appel, milk and simba chips! I can't go on like this, he can't live on allergex 24/7. He can't go to school cause a school isn't allowed to give kids medicine, if I tell doctors he is allergic to everything... they laugh! Finally we found a wonderful pediatrician who is willing to help us find the source of the allergies. She said we must be admitted straight away, cause my son lived on appels, milk and simba chips for a week. But Bestmed declined!! After hours of trying to get admitted and doctor sending Bestmed letters to say we need to do tests. Bestmed finally approved authorisation but only for 24 hours and for dehydration drip only, any tests done will be on our own costs! Because we said he can't eat...

So what Bestmed? Must my son get a drip every day cause that is the only way to get all the nutrients in his body cause you did not want to get him admitted to do the tests?!?!?! HE CAN'T EAT ANYTHING everyday, not just this one time. He is allergic to medicine including vitamins!! We went to the hospital twice this year cause he had difficulty breathing! But Bestmed still did not approve to be admitted!!

So now we paid bloodtests on our own costs just to start and help my son!!! So why do we have BESTMED??? We pay alot for medical aid, and they don't care about a child getting better!!!

So if you or your children are allergic do not get BESTMED as a medical aid!!! They won't help!
