Best Med refusing to pay for Maxilla Facial surgery Hospital bill
I requested an authorization for one day in hospital for wife on the 15/08/2023, I issued best med with all the relavent documents from the Maxilla facial Dr. They authorized the quotation for which the Dr quoted R8901. 00. However they refused to pay the Dr in full and also refused to pay the hospital in full. My wife left the hospital the same day after the surgery. Best med used to be the best, but now their services have become bad. Every time I enquire from best med the only explanation I get is that "those are the rules". Why wasn't I notified that there will be a short fall when I requested for surgically authorization? Why would a hospital in patient authorized claim have shortfall? I am unhappy with the way Best Med have been treating me and my colleagues lately.
