Best med is confused

During March 2015 my wife consulted with a specialist surgeon regarding a pain in her hand at the St Augustine hospital in Durham which is a Net care hospital.The doctor then decided to admit her into hospital and my wife called Bestmed and she was told that she could not be admitted at any Net care hospital and we were limited to a life hospital only the consultant was very rude to my wife.My wife had no option but to go to the life hospital in Westviille and her doctor does not consult there as he has his rooms at St Augustine hospital which is a net care hospital.Another doctor had to treat my wife and run tests and she was not comfortable with dealing with a new doctor.Recdntly I queried this and the consultant assured me that I can can be hospitalised in any private hospital but then he was not sure and after back and forth he then confirmed that I can be hospitalised at both life and net care hospitals.So why was my wife's admission to the net care hospital not authorised and is the consultant correct in confirming what he said as he has sent me sms messages confirming that we can be hospitalised at life or net care hospitals.
