BeatMed denied Authorisation Claim
I am not happy with bestmed medical aid at all. I have not been sufficiently assisted by medical aid. They are refusing to pay my hospital bill, they are not even paying my test results with lancent. My child and Ao are not safe,I am too stressed out at the moment. And this is not healthy with pregnancy. I am stressed. They are not paying anything for maternity or pregnancy. The pregnancy test alone are expensive they cost about R 3500 which comes from day to day funds how ridiculous. How do one survive after such a huge bill. I have had enough with this medical aid for real. I am worried that they will not even cover the full delivery bill at the hospital. This is lesson learnt for me. I will rather move to another medical aid. This is not on. Even after my Dr provided them with motivation they still declined my authorisation. I think they need to investigated because this can’t be that almost everyone is complaining about in hospital bill

One of our dedicated consultants called you regarding the matter and explained the reason why the scheme is unable to approve the case based on the current information received. The scheme does not have registered benefits for admission for tests only. The benefit for tests/scans is only registered under out-of-hospital benefits where is it paid from the out-of-hospital benefits/savings.

My well being is not important to you at all. How can you take a pregnant women with high risk through such challenge. I am still not happy. The Dr cannot just advice why I need to admitted without any specific reason. Any all your test are coming out of day to day how doesn't that keep me at easy because the funds are all done because its just as little and it doesn't reach towards the year end. I am leaving this medical aid. I would rather take by business elsewhere. You have lost me as your client!!

We understand that you are not happy with the limit for out-of-hospital. However, the limit is in line with the chosen option design and its limits. We humbly advise you to review your medical Aid plan and consider a benefit option that caters for your medical needs.
