BAD SERVICE & NO HELP AT ALL
I changed last year to Bestmed Medical scheme, everyone was telling they are the best you will never have problems with them......... Yeah right. I am so upset with this medical aid, I have to go for a operation and now they have all sorts of problems with my authorization? They want a 12 month statement form GP's that I saw in the last year, I am not a sick person and why should I give them all that, this has nothing to do with my operation. Yes, I was on a different medical aid last year, where I had a problem and to go for a laparoscopy (this was on a totally different medical aid), I thought that that problem was sorted out after that operation, but unfortunately the same problem occur just now. I did mention this operation on my application form when I submitted my form. Now they are telling me this is a pre- consisting condition and I have not mentioned it. Seriously, how can anyone know if there will be something wrong with your women parts, do I have xray vision to know that there will be problems. NO, NO and NO, I don't have all of this. I am so tired to fight with medical aids, they are very happy when you join and they take your money every month, but when it come done that they have to give a services to they members its not good. The guy that was helping me said you have to be less then 6 months off a medical aid before there will be any problems, yesterday I was told by Gloria, NO it is only 3 months cap. Please explain to me who is right and who is wrong. I have send all my documents to bestmed to join on 1st Nov 20 they took to long with my application and I could only join on 1st Dec 20. Really people, think twice before joining this medical aid, I am so disappointed that I have join the medical aid.
Please note that as per the scheme rules: Prospective Members shall, prior to admission, complete and submit the application forms required by the Scheme, together with satisfactory evidence in respect of himself and his Dependants, of age, income, state of health, and of any prior membership or admission as a Dependant of a Member of any other medical scheme.
The Scheme may require an applicant to provide the Scheme with a medical report in respect of him or of his proposed beneficiary (ies) in respect of a condition for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment was recommended or received within the 12- (twelve-) month period ending on the date on which an application for membership was made.
