Bad customer service

I called in the customer care line just to find out about the option I opt for when getting my medical aid and that is all I needed as I was at a Doctor getting my eyes tested and needed to know if I can use my medical aid for the prescribed glasses............I got to speak to a consultant his name is Karabo Lelaka.......I really think if people are not feeling like speaking to clients they must just stay home take leave or something...I also deal with customers everyday as I am in sales.......mind you I have not even received my medical Aid card its over a year now.

Well Karabo Lelaka gave me the worst service....he doesnt listen to what one asks, has no sense of customer service, not even apologetic what so ever.....I am going to change this medical aid service is not good at all especially Karabo's service....not very pleasing at all.I will go back to discovery thank you!!!!

Dear Sibusiso Trevor Hadebe

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment caused by the interaction you had with our customer service team. We understand the importance of receiving clear information and professional service, especially when seeking assistance with your medical aid benefits.

We would like to clarify that the Beat 2 option is a savings plan, and out-of-hospital expenses are covered from the available balance in your annual Medical Savings Account (MSA). This includes services such as eye tests and spectacles. The Beat 2 option does not have a separate optical benefit for glasses, and the cost of spectacles is therefore funded from the available savings balance.

We would also like to advise that we have sent an email to your registered email address with more detailed information regarding your option and membership card. Regards Bestmed
