Best Gutters = Worst Gutters

I have never had such bad service from any company. I cotacted Best Gutters about 6 months ago to come and fix a small patch of damp. I was quoted R7000 as they said they needed to replace a whole gutter. I paid the deposit and they came and started the work. On the first day they had measured wrong and had to come back. The second time they came they left the roof open - which I could see - when I said it's going to rain they shrugged and said the couldn't work late and left it open. Finally they came back a third time and 'finished' the job. However they broke other gutters in the process - leaving downpipes detached and un*****ed all over the place. I then went ahead and had my house freshly painted - assuming the small patch of damp was now resolved. However, they had not sealed the gutters - my entire house flooded through the roof during the first rain. My kitchen was 5cm underwater, my electricity blew because of the water pouring through the walls and I had no power for two days until it dried out, my pressed ceiling sagged, and the damp was know literally 1000 times worse. The new paint and plastering peeled off the walls. They then came back numerous times to 'fix' the damage - each time it wasn't resolved - my house flooding over and over again. Finally they sent a colleague of Louis (CEO of Best Gutters) out to check - it turns out Best Gutters had SAWED through my roof beams making my entire house unstable, they had reangled all of the gutters so they were facing inward, and had not sealed my gutters properly again (this is now about the 8th visit). The new person fixed the problem in two days. So my gutters were now fixed but my house (kitchen, bedroom, hallway, lounge) had huge damp patches, peeling paint, sagging celings etc. They asked ME to get a quote for their insurance - which I did. The damage came in at R25 000 which they sent through to ABSA Insurance. I don't know where the money went to repair the house, but the company I requested (the original people that had painted my house) were ignored, and they sent a local handyman around to patch up. Given my house was in immaculate condition after having a proper painting crew come in before the damage I wasn't happy - but Louis threatened that I was lucky, and that most people wouldn't bother even coming back. So I accepted what I got. To cut a long story short its now about 6 months later. My house still hasn't dried out. The damp is so bad in some places my walls are literally rotting. So I can't paint the walls as it will just peel off again. I have told Best Gutters I would pay the other 50% when the job is finished but they are continually harrassing me and demanding payment. The job is not done. Please do not trust these people. They are ************! I will be reporting them to ABSA as well so they can send through the proof of where the insurance money went. My house is still a wreck.
