I NEED TO CHANGE MY DEBIT ORDER DATE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD

so i recently got a letter from work informing me that my salary date will change effective from this month ill be be getting paid every last day of the moth,i called best electric to kindly ask them to change my debit order date i was informed that i cant change it over the phone i need to go to the store, am asking myself are these people out of their minds ,we in a middle of a pandemic and the country is a mess as there's a lot of riots taking place ,shops are being looted therefore which store should i go to? am asking to change the date because obviously i wont have funds on the 25th and i dont want any bank charges and ofcourse any interest and my credit score being affected,told the girl to rather remove my debit order and send me banking details and that was impossible as well i was informed a call will be logged like really how stupid and outdated the system is.....
