We recently took my Mothers bakkie to BestDrive Clearwater, work needed to be done on the brakes, shocks, CV Joints etc. We accepted the quote of R4300. The bakkie went in for the work to be done, and was delivered the same day with promises that everything was done.<br> My Mother (65) lives in Randfontein and had to drive home with the bakkie by herself, she phoned me from the side of the road saying that there was a harsh sound coming from the left front wheel. The following day she took the bakkie to the local Toyota dealer in Randfontein and asked them to take a look at the wheel, where the mechanics informed her that the wheel was loose, and that she could have made a massive accident. We consulted with BestDrive and they asked us to return the bakkie to them. On arrival they confirmed that the part used were default, and that they would replace it all. When we received the vehicle the wheel nuts were not properly tightened, and it damaged the wheel even further. A week later my Mother drove to town, and the front left wheel fell off, causing damage to the front of the bakkie. We had to dish out an additional R1000 on parts to get the bakkie fixed. #************* #***********
