SUBSTANDARD BICYCLE SERVICE DURBANVILLE

This service provider rendered the worst service I have ever experienced within a period of 6 weeks. Took my bike in for installing "slime" in tire to protect it from thorns. The person behind the desk recommended to also have inner tube protection installed and that they would phone me next day to fetch it. They never called and I followed them up after 4 days. They did not have any record of me ( experienced this at a previous occasion as well). They then said their provider is out of stock. After 8 days I followed them up and they gave the same answer. After two weeks I received my bike but on my first trip noticed that the tire is buckling and bike shaking. I took it back and I was informed that I will have to pay to have it inspected. I confronted them and said there was no problem before I brought the bike in why should I pay again. They called me after two days to inform that I require a new tire but their provider is out of stock. I called them after a week to find out when I will receive my bike back - they said that their provider of tires wait till there is a "big" order for tires and will send it to them. I went fetch my bike after two weeks as I haven't heard anything from them. Again they were searching for my job card. I took my bike to Geco Cycles Cape Gate Life style Centre and received it back within two hours. I was very impressed with the owner"s (Fred) hands on approach and excellent service. My advice is stay far away from Best Bikes.
