BESSIE BESTER MOTORS/Ou Paarlweg Motors/HJP Auto In Orion str/old Paarl Road Brackenfell TAKING CLIENTS FOR A RIDE!!!!!

<p>I am a 63 year old pensioner who purchased a 2004 polo by Anton van Rensburg of Bessie Bester Motors in Brackenfell for R65000 cash on 3 July 2017.He advised me to sign at the bottom of the page for the purchase and said they will roadworthy the car. I received the roadworthy and keys. Immediately after leaving I realised that the alarm was not working, the righ passenger door was broken and couldnt open and the car smelled like burnt oil when driving. I went back and they sent me to their mechanic who works from a house in Kraaifontein.It was still not working and I then decided to take the car to the AA to do a Roadworthy test and they advised that the car could not of passed roadworthy as the tires are worn out and not worthy as well as R6666 worth of mechamical failures that needed fixing.The question remains how did Bessie Bester Motors then get a unroadworthy car roadworthied? I went back yesterday(10 Aug 2017) to their car showroom in Brackenfell where all 3 of the partners namely Anton van Rensburg, Bessie Bester and Henry Lombard was present. They simply referred to their contract which is typed in the smallest letters where they exempt themselves from the Consumer Protectors Act and said its my responsibility as according to them they are not responsible for any mechanical/electrical faults.My son who was also present tried to explain and Bessie Bester who was quite rude and unfriendly refused to assist further as he said my son is a third party. I am within my rights to bring anyone with whom I please as I am the customer and I paid them alot of money for a broken car.As an elderly lady I was not going to go alone and be bul**** by 3 people.I was also informed that according to Bessie Bester he didnt sell the car to me, but he;s colleague as he said the other 2 partners rents from him on the same premises. This was news to me as the car I purchased by them has a Bessie Bester Motors sticker on it???? Further investigation revealed that the business is operated under a pty under the name of Anton van Rensburg the same genteleman who did the sale papers with me? I also discovered now that the premises where they conduct business from was first named Ou Paarl weg motors, Brackenfell from 1994 to 2016 which was in the news for the same kind of complaints and they were liquidated in August 2016 after customers complained and 2 articles appeared on the front pages of the Tygerburger newspaper in January of 2017. When my son mentioned this Bessie got very upset. I advised them that I am not talking to the three of them alone without my son being present, they refused and we left. It is evident that this is not the first and last time that the same type of complaint will be reported from this car dealership who seems to keep on changing names.Bessie Bester Motors/HJP Auto/Old Paarl Weg Motors or whatever name you change to, it is not ok to sell a defect edcar to a pensioner and then be disrespectful towards a lady who could of been your mother! I want my car fixed by a mechanic of my choice at your expense or Ill go further and take this to CARTE BLANCHE!</p>
