What if they treated my dad for his pneumonia he might still be here

My dad Jose Manuel Bastos born 18/02/1948 went to Germiston hospital on the 24th as he was feeling ill. X-rays showed he had pneumonia. The 25th a nurse and not a doctor went to my dad and said my dad has a spot on his lung and he must go for a CT scan but not a word about the pneumonia. My friend, my daughter and I went to visit him that night and he had a empty drip on. The 26th my friend and I went to the hospital that morning at 10 to see the doctor to hear what is exactly wrong. I phoned my daddy to say I am standing in the passage as I am not allowed into the ward, I waited about 30 minutes before my dad came out he could hardly walk as he was off balance he was walking with the help of a chair. The nurses told me he is being discharged!!!!!!!!!!! I told my friend how could they do that as my dad is worse. Again he had an empty drip. I saw the doctor she said to me there is a spot on his lungs and do I know he has cancer I said I know he has skin cancer Basil cell carcinoma. She said my dad is allergic to penicillin but the gave it to him from the day he was admitted. She said on the 2nd of August he must go for a CT scan at Natalspruit hospital and return on the 5th of August. I fetched his medication they gave him one course of antibiotics that is for only 3 days. I packed all of his belongings and put him in a wheel chair and took him home. My dad woke up on the floor they didn't help him up but laughed at him and they said to him ge is crazy but he was not crazy but very confused. When we arrived home he sat in the car for 3 hours and he was very confused and off balance, I told him I am taking him to Johannesburg Gen and he said no. The papers the doctor gave me when the discharged him I saw his CRP was 79 and his white blood count was high. I visited my dad on the 28th and he was sick and a bit confused I took his blood pressure it was 117/71 his sugar 10 I told my mom to watch his blood pressure as I was scared it would fall. The next day Monday 29th I phoned the ambulance and my dad refused because he would've gone back to Germiston hospital but on Tuesday the 30th he phoned me telling me, he needs me and that I must go to him and ge was very confused so that evening I phoned my mom asking her if I can take my dad to hospital and she said he won't I said to her to put my dad on the phone. I said " daddy can I please take you to the hospital? " He said for what I said " daddy so that my dad can get better" he said ok come. My friend took me we battled to get him into the car as he was out of breath. We took him to Edenvale hospital at the triage the nurse checked him his oxygen was low, blood pressure was 78/48 and I knew my dad was much worse. The immediately put him on oxygen and a drip. I spoke to the doctor and I told her my dad has pneumonia and I felt he has septicemia. I help my dad to get onto the bed. They took him to the x-rays. The doctor called me and said they are admitting my dad as he has multi bar pneumonia. I looked at the x-ray his right lung looked very bad from the pneumonia and the left just a little bit and I saw a tiny spot on the left lung. I feel Germiston should have worried more about the pneumonia than the spot. They should have treated the biggest problem first!!!!!!!!! The spot could have been something he might have breathed in as he has no nose hairs because of radiation he recieved 2006. He was sanding his combi in June so he might have breathed in something. Worst of all he had to wait a week for a CT scan. Edenvale treated him with the medication needed but he was very sick and I feel he should have been put in high care since being admitted. His CRP was 140 from the first blo gee t R5 dae CBCod test results and Friday the 2nd of August blood tests his CRP was 195 and there was something in his blood that evening 6pm they moved him to the high care ward. On Saturday morning the 3rd of August 5am my 7th January at the if Germiston treated him with the right medication and didn't send him home he would still be here. Edenvale had my dad on 2 different antibiotics on the first 2 days then on IV antibiotics. The services of Edenvale was the best compared to Germiston!!!!!!!!
