My review of Birthing Experience at Bertha Gxowa Hospital. My wife gave birth back in October 2022. Couple of things : Bad 1) Husbands/partners are not allowed in the delivery room or anywhere in the hospital. You only get to see your wife during the visiting hours. 2) Visiting hours are not enough: 3-4 PM only, even when you come to see the baby. 3)They only assist 4 ladies per day and priority is given to women whose babies are experiencing distress (or women with complicated pregnancies). My wife ended up waiting 4 long and stressful days before she could deliver. During these 4 days, she only started getting induced on Day 3, and the unborn baby went into distress, which caused extra and unnecessary complications postpatrum.

Good 1) Cleanliness of the facilities (no funny smell, dirty bedsheets etc). 2) Good food quality for the mother. 3) Great doctors (with a few bad ones here and there). 4) Good and friendly nurses (with a rude ones here and there).
