No customer care support at all!

We recently bought a kettle on Takealot (June 2020) that was on a promo. The kettle just started to leak water at the bottom towards the end of last year, just being over 6 months old. When enquiring from Takealot they mentioned that it is outside of the manufacturer's guarantee of 6 months. Any contract that I have tried to make with Berlinger Haus have been unsuccesful. Phone calls, emails etc. I dont know how a "qualty" product only lasts 7 months? We took out our old kettle, also a high end quality product that worked for 6 years and is still going strong now. Please assist with this
