POOR SERVICE FROM BERGMAN ROSS AND PARTNERS ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT
My daughter broke her wrist in November 2018, I rushed her to N1 city hospital and was sent for x-rays. She went for a follow up visit in December. I was sent 2 invoices of R401.40 and R207 respectively. These amounts was paid by me in Feb 2019 and March 2019. This was the only invoices I received and paid for. In Sept 2019 I was contacted by Laywers to say that I have an overdue account with Bergman Ross and partners. I was told to send proof of payment, may I add this is now 9 months later. I sent through a bank statement and was told that this was not the payments they were looking for.
When I contacted the accounts department of Bergman Ross and partners, I was told that I should know how things work and that the payment was not made. The accounts officers added that the amount that was due was more for the follow up visit. She also mentioned that numerous final demand messages was sent to my phone. What baffles me is that the amount they are saying I did not pay is the exact amount that I paid, that the accounts officer feels that I should know how their accounts process works. I also cant believe that I didn't get the invoice of the account that was not paid aswell as all the messages that they claim to have sent to me. Now the account, that I didn't know about, has been sent to lawyers and they have added their intrests and what ever other payments they add. The whole thing sounds fishey to me, not just the time that has passed, but also the fact that I received no communication regarding the bill and that the accounts officer contradicted herself by saying the amount is different, but its exactly the same.. I cant believe that this is how people that work with accounts are so negligent and that their negligence has an impact on client financial futures. I am very dissatisfied with the way that this was handled after I had such good service from the radiology department, this has spoilt the whole experience.
