Money takes preference to saving lives at Bergman Ross And Partner

I suffer from asthma and went to a hospital trauma unit as I am very uncertain in the COVID pandemic times. When I got to the hospital I was admitted and received treatment. The dr requested a chest X-ray because of my Asthma On arriving at Bergman Ross the receptionist came and said I do not have savings and need to pay R850. I advised her I do not have cash and will have the cash tomorrow 01.09.2020 and will do an immediate payment. She said she will get back to me. When she came back she said I should pay half. I again said I will be able to settle the full amount tomorrow. She left again and returned and said I have an outstanding account which I was aware of and I told her I was not working during lockdown but I have made arrangements to pay the account off once I’m at work full time. She said she spoke to the accounts manager and they refuse treatment. I just feel in this trying times people’s circumstances need to be considered. Should I die of COVID or a lung disease because I don’t have a R850 to pay for a xRay. And to top it all I list my mom a few months ago because of a lung disease. How can you work in the medical field in the heart of a pandemic and demand money upfront. A R850 is worth more than someone’s life to Bergman Ross and partner
