***********, slow and lazy

Shockingly bad service and even worse workmanship. I had my fridge “repaired” by these clowns due to not cooling. Paid R1300 for what they claimed was a “blockage” and they performed a “flush and regas”. First of all this simple task took them over a week to perform and then when they returned the fridge, it worked for a month or two and then stopped cooling again. Asked them to take it back and do their jobs properly so they took the fridge and kept it for another whole week before telling me the same thing: blockage that required flushing and regassing. I knew they were full of it and argued endlessly with them about the lack of care taken in their assessment of the problem but they claimed some bull about it being my fault for turning on the fridge too soon after having it returned (which they said nothing about initially). The fridge was returned after the second attempt at “repairing” it only for it to stop working again after two months. This time I called in a different fridge specialist who came to our house on the same day I called him and fixed the fridge at my house within an hour or two. He immediately noticed that Bergens didn’t do a proper job at all and quickly determined that there was in fact a coolant leak at the back. He replaced the leaking pipes and the fridge now works. Bergens didn’t bother to check any of this. I’m so furious that they took my money and didn’t even bother to fix the problem or try to assess the cause of the issue - after two attempts that each took a week to carry out nog al. Bergens are ***** and cheats and lazy and are not competent. Do NOT send your appliances in to this company for repairs. They don’t know what they’re doing and their customer service and speed of service is shocking as well. Stay away from this sham of a company! We had similar issues with our dishwasher leaking and having to be repaired twice by these people because they didn’t do the job right the first time. For the record, I dealt with Bergens Kempton Park and Bergens Fourways. Both just as *********** as the other. Never again!
