If your appliances break, don't even contact Bergen's

Dealing with Bergen's Appliance Repairs & Spares is probably one of the biggest service delivery mistakes of my life.

My dishwasher was in need of repairs so I contacted The Bergen's branch in Florida. They were quick to pick up the appliance from my home, but then months passed and my queries always received the same answer: "The supplier cannot supply the PC board we need and we're waiting for them to get stock." Eventually I contacted another repair agency and to my surprise I was told that they could immediately get the PC board for my model of dishwasher.

I contacted Bergens and requested that they return my dishwasher since I had a better solution. Bergens delivered it promptly, but it was imediately clear that parts of my original dishwasher had been replaced with parts from other dishwashers. The water inlet pipe (which is an expensive part), panels, and trays were all unfami****, worn, rusted and in poor condition.

I immediately sent the dishwasher back and contacted Bergen's again to complain about the parts that had been returned to me. After numerous more excuses from Bergen's I had to accept the fact that they had evidently used parts from my dishwasher to repair other people's appliances, and had scrambled to get parts together to deliver me a whole appliance, regardless of the poor state of the parts they used to put it together.

After some more back and forth I eventually got them to get some parts together that were in a better state than what they delivered, but still had to buy a new water inlet pipe myself since the one they supp**** did not have the required valves to manage the water inlet properly.

As if that wasn't bad enough, it has become clear that the dishwasher has also picked up a ****roack infestation in the months that it was standing at the Bergen's workshop. I am now battling to get this under control as more and more baby ****roaches can be seen crawling out from the door unit of the dishwasher.

I have also spoken to others who have had similar exoeriences at other Bergen's branches, where their appliances are returned with sub-par parts butchered from other broken appliances.

I will never use Bergen's Appliance Repairs & Spares, or any other Bergen's brand service ever again.
