Haven't a clue how to repair a fridge

<p>I called the Florida branch out as I believed that Bergen were the best when it came to fridge repairs.</p> <p>The fridge and freezer were not cold anymore.</p> <p>They came out and immediately diagnosed a problem with the compressor. Imagine that, the most expensive part needed replacing. So I paid out R3000 for the job. The fridge still wasn't getting cold. We started throwing stuff away. Bergens came out again and diagnosed a broken pipe. This would have been noticed the first time if they hadn't just conned me out of 3 grand for the compressor. Pipe fixed...And it STILL wasn't getting cold. They came and took it away to run and monitor at their premises. 2Weeks later (yesterday morning) it was returned. 'Its working fine we were told. This morning the fridge was 13.6c and the freezer 10c.This afternoon the freezer is now 12c. We bought a load of new stuff on the advice that it was ok and it's all defrosted and most if not all needs throwing away. A good few hundred Rand worth of food. We are now looking at getting a new fridge.</p> <p>I know who I will never call again.</p>
